About us
Andrew and Rachel first met working on a commercial thoroughbred stud north of Melbourne before venturing to Melbourne for Andrew to start his career in the racing industry. The dream has always been to move back to a regional setting to develop their own farm and business and with the purchase of the Caramut property in August 2022, the dream has now become a reality.

Rachel fell in love with horses as a child and began riding at the age of ten. She began leasing her own horse at twelve, and into ownership at thirteen. Over the years, Rachel has worked with, ridden and cared for many horses; each horse providing something new to build upon her exemplary career.

Andrew's avenue into working with horses was very different to Rachel's, instead coming from a weekly attendance with his father and grandfather at the local TAB. The family bought into a racehorse, Fullazz, which ended up winning the Debutante Stakes at Caulfield in her first start. It was from this that Andrew knew he wanted to train racehorses. Since then he has worked very hard to achieve his goal of becoming a racehorse trainer.

As part of a gap year, Rachel started working as a stable hand at a dressage stable before attending Marcus Oldham College and completing a Diploma of Horse Business Management, graduating with a distinction.

At the same time Andrew was completing the NMIT Diploma in Equine Stud Management. At the conclusion of this course he was offered a scholarship to work at Ashford Stud in America for six months. Upon his return, Andrew secured a job at Woodside Park Stud in Tylden, where Rachel had already been working after completing Marcus Oldham...and soon after they began their journey together.
Angelone Racing is a small but mighty operation. The sister business; Angelone Estate, is a boutique Agistment farm.
